Find Your Grounded (School Psychology) Practice: Support for Early-Career School Psychologists

Are you an early-career school psychologist feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stretched too thin? The journey of helping children and schools can be deeply rewarding—but it’s also demanding. If you’re experiencing burnout, imposter syndrome, or questioning your career path, The Grounded Practice peer support group is for you.

You’re Not Alone

Many school psychologists in the first few years feel:

  • Burned out from juggling complex caseloads, large student populations, and administrative demands.

  • Isolated in their role, unsure where to turn for advice, support, or validation.

  • Overwhelmed by the steep learning curve and the constant pressure to be the expert.

  • Stuck in feelings of self-doubt, questioning whether they’re good enough—or even in the right profession.

  • Disconnected from the passion that first led them to this career.

If this resonates with you, know that it’s not a sign of failure—it’s a sign that you need support.
